If I work for a school district and there are no federal taxes taken out of my packchecks will I owe money back during tax season?

Did you receive a W-2 or a 1099Misc?

@lfortner58 You posted "No not yet" to a thread that has had no activity since 2019.   Do you have a question for the user forum about your 2024 tax return?

Box 2 of the W-2 is $0 or blank if no income taxes were withheld.

You do not give the filing status or amount of income, so it is impossible to say if you will owe.

The best thing for you to do is to enter the W-2 in TurboTax and then will tell you if you owe any money.  With TurboTax, you can do this without having to pay for the product until the end.

Then, if you do owe money, you should have the withholding changed at work.  You do this by submitting a new W-4 with the employer.
