Question

If I work in NY State and live in CT, do I have to provide copy of my NY State tax return when I file my CT Tax return?

Yes. If you are claiming a credit for tax paid to New York on your Connecticut return then you do have provide a copy of the NY return to CT. If you e-file, TurboTax will do this for you. If you file by mail, send an unsigned copy of the NY IT-203 with your CT filing.

Thank you so much.  I have to file by mail due to an apparent discrepancy between my 2019 returns AGI and the IRS records. I also see that Turbo Tax documentation included an extra Schedule D and 8949 forms which I am not sure where they should be filed other than on the Federal Tax return. Any idea?
