Why are you asking about Kansas?

I am required to file in Kansas since I work there and live in Missouri.  The turbo tax has a question about pensions.  It pulls my data from my federal form and asks me to make a decision about putting that amount in the exempt box or putting in zero.  The query function only lists exemptions for Kansas pensions but doesnt address other pensions.

You only pay tax on retirement in your state of domicile so it cannot be double taxed.  See 4 U.S. Code § 114.

You will want to continue until you see the screen that says Part-Year and Nonresident Income Allocation.  This is where you will indicate the Kansas amount of zero.  @christopher-bentch
