Question

In the exempt-interest dividends section, my detailed info doesn't specify the states. How can I proceed with out selecting states?

    If your exempt-interest dividends information doesn't specify the states, you can leave the state fields blank. Note that TurboTax will likely treat the associated amounts as federal exempt income only.

    You might need to scroll to the bottom of the list of states, and select "Multiple States".

    The software is unlikely to allow you to leave that selection empty
