In the year 2024, I have lived in 3 different states. Income in two. It keeps saying I need to make a state return for the 3rd state even though I didn’t make income

In MY INFO you are asked if you made income in any other states.   When it asked if you made income in that "third" state, how did you answer the question?   Click your name and go back through the screens in MY INFO.

In addition to following the steps recommended by @xmasbaby0, you will need to know the filing requirements of the third state.

Some states, such as New York, require residents to file a return simply because they are required to file a federal return. If this is the case, you would need to file the return and then indicate that you did not have any income while a resident of the state.
