Employer didn't update my address when moving states. I did not live in KY last year but paid KY income tax. I filed a KY Return as a non-resident but it was rejected because I put $0 as KY income. Issue is that my W2 states I made income in KY, even though I lived in AZ the full year. "Description of Error: Form W2 filed with KY wages, but not reported on Form 740-NP, Section B, line 1, column B." I reached out to employer to see if they could issue a corrected W2, but they said they couldn't make any changes. What do I do?

If you are saying that KY withholding was incorrect and you did not work or live in KY during 2022, then you can request a refund.  The Department of Revenue in KY will issue you a refund of withholding if warranted.

Withholding Tax Refund Application

Withholding Tax Refund Application - Department of Revenue

For refund.  Claims for refunds or credits must be filed within four years from the date the tax was paid to the State Treasurer. After the statute of limitations has expired, no claims for refunds or credits will be considered. (4) Mail completed application to the Kentucky Department of Revenue, Withholding Tax Section.

You have to convince the KY Dept. of Revenue that you are entitled to a refund.  You write back to them explaining the circumstances.  A confirming letter from your employer would be helpful.
