Several states don't allow direct debit through the tax return. For those states, even if you include your bank information for the Federal return, the state won't take your direct debit, unless you go to their website.
In the File section for your IN state tax return, TurboTax would have told you the various options:

Make a payment online by electronic check (bank/ACH - no fees) or debit/credit card (fees apply)
Make a payment in person at one of DOR’s district offices or downtown Indianapolis locations using cash (exact change only), personal or cashier’s check, money order, and debit/credit cards (fees apply).
Set up a payment plan, if you owe more than $100, using INTIME.
Be sure to have the following information available when you call:
Your taxpayer identification number or Social Security number
The liability number or warrant number.
