I live in NJ but work in NY.

When filling out the IT-203 tax form for non-New York residents, in the "Federal income and adjustments" section I allocated 100% of my wages as being earned in NY.

But what happens to other income such as interest from savings bank accounts, investments, etc.? For example, I earned $500 in interest from my online savings bank. In the federal income column under "Taxable interest income," I put $500. Do I also put $500 in the New York column?

No, if you are a New Jersey resident, you would enter zero for interest.  See New York Source Income of Nonresident Individuals for New York source income.
