Iowa 1040

When trying to e-file, I get an error message that prevents me from being able to transmit.  The error message is on the Iowa Information Worksheet and states that "Dividend Income Worksheet: Payer has too many characters."  It keeps coming to the Suffix box for the error, but I have tried to delete, change and blank out the content of that field.  Nothing works.

Turbotax will not let me transmit/e-file my Iowa return with this error message.  How do I proceed?

certain "Payer" names cannot be too long

    So

Go back to the Federal section, and EDIT the original "Payer" entry for every 1099-DIV you find there.

Make sure the name of the company that paid $$ to you (or to your account) has a shorter name.

    Make it simple....chop some words off.....Fidelity Investments = Fidelity,   or abbreviate.....Corporation = Corp, Company = Co...etc.

Might also be needed on various 1099-INT forms
