Question

Is anyone else having a problem with entering info from a 1099-MISC form from the state of MN on the federal? Where does it go?

If this is for MN tax rebate:

  1. Open your return and select Wages and Income
  2. Scroll down to Other Common Income and select Start by 1099-MISC
  3. Enter your 1099-MISC and select Continue
  4. Enter MN Rebate for the description and Continue
  5. On the Does one of these uncommon situations apply? screen, select None of these apply
  6. Select, No, it did not involve work like my main job.
  7. Enter the year you received it
  8. Select, No, It didn't involve an intent to earn money

On MN return:

  1. Continue to the screen Tell Us About Other Income Adjustments
  2. Check the box Received one time tax rebate.
  3. Continue and enter the amount
