For Michigan state, there is a Personal Exemption: $5,800 per person. is that already included in my state tax filing with turbo tax?

Yes. The Michigan personal exemptions will automatically be added to the state return. The amount for 2024 starts at $5,600 for the personal exemption and for each dependent. There may also be an additional exemption that you or someone in your household qualifies for.
