No, there is no tax credit but there is a state tax rebate.

Pennsylvania has a rebate for the purchase of electric vehicles for which you apply outside your tax return.

Rebates issued as a part of this program are taxable income and may result in the issuance of a 1099 form for the taxable year in which you received the rebate if your rebate amount is greater than $600. You need to include the amount received on your return and pay any taxes due.

If you already filed your return, you need to amend it to include the rebate.

  • You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
  • You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
  • Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
  • The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
  • Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
