Question

Kansas Intangibles Form

It automatically puts in my 1927 birthdate in the "special exemption" section which then asks for my total income which is higher than is allowed.  So it takes me back to correct it and I delete it and it again takes me back to complete it.  It won't let me file without something in that box but it won't accept my "too high" income.  So it is not letting me e-file.  I have been unable to delete my birthdate there to see if that would eliminate the problem for that section.  HELP!

To get past this Local Intangibles reporting issue, you have two other options to try, assuming that when you are deleting and your birthday is still populating in the Kansas Intangibles section, that you are only in the state interview section within the program:

Option 1: Deleting just the form.

  • From the left menu, select
  • Tax Tools>Tools>
  • Delete a Form>
  • Scroll down to the Kansas Return and delete Form 200

Option 2: Deleting the state of Kansas and then re-entering it.

  • From the left menu, select
  • State>Continue>
  • Kansas click Delete>Yes
  • Add A State>Kansas>Continue>Continue>go through the interview again
