I filed my taxes on January 31. I've already received my federal refund but I received notice two days ago that I'm receiving a letter from the CA State Controller Disbursement Bureau.
What are the reasons one might receive a letter from this state office after filing?
This could have been caused by information that the State has and might not match with what was filed. Or there could be an outstanding balance due with the State that is causing a delay with the refund.
