Major home construction sales tax question

We paid sales tax for construction materials purchased in neighboring counties with slightly different sales tax rates than our city.   Turbo tax is rejecting the sales tax for those purchases.  Any ideas on how to claim that sales tax?  Thank you!

If you are itemizing your deductions, when asked how you want to enter your sales tax info, choose Enter All My receipts instead of the easy guide.

You're not allowed to deduct sales tax where the rate was "slightly different". The law was written that way, on purpose.

Generally, you can deduct the actual state and local general
sales taxes  you paid in 2024, but only if the tax rate was the same as the general sales tax rate.

Exception: You can deduct the sales tax paid on the following items up to the general sales tax rate:
- Vehicles
- Off-road vehicles
