I was a full time resident of Massachusetts in 2020 (live with my parents).  I worked full time in Rhode Island.

I completed a return for Rhode Island.  Do I need to file one in Massachusetts as well?  Turbo Tax

software is asking me to complete a return for both states.  Massachusetts DOR website says a Mass Resident only needs to file a Mass return if they had more than $8000 Mass income (which I did not).

As a resident of Massachusetts, all of your income is "MA-source" and taxable by MA. You do need to complete a Massachusetts resident tax return (after doing Rhode Island), but you will get a credit for tax paid to RI.
