I am meet the definition of a Resident Fiduciary for Maryland.  Even though I do not reside in the state as the fiduciary, my mother was a resident on her date of death.  TurboTax keeps trying to force me to complete for 504NR - Non-resident Income Tax Calculation.  Why???

Is the "Resident Status" box filled out correctly on your MD Form 504?

Stupid mistake on my part .... it was not.  Thank you for the quick response!

One other question.  If there were no distributions from the estate in 2020, leaving all blanks on the K-1s, do they need to be printed and filed?

Since the K-1 is filed only to report distributive shares, there is no need to file it if there are no distributions.
