Michigan File-by-Mail address

Why does Turbotax File-By-Mail tell me to send my Michigan state return to a different address than shown on the Michigan 1040-V itself?

Turbotax instructions say:

Michigan Department of Treasury

Lansing, MI 48929

The MI-1040V form says:

Michigan Department of Treasury P.O. Box 30774

Lansing, MI 48909

I used the address on the MI 1040V because I'd forgotten to bring the Turbotax instructions with me to the post office. Let's see.

"If you owe tax, mail your return to: Michigan Department of Treasury Lansing, MI 48929".

When you owe tax, it is normal to send your check along with it.

"Michigan Department of Treasury P.O. Box 30774 Lansing, MI 48909".

So I imagine that both addresses will be receiving a lot of checks, so they should be able to figure it out.
