A family member worked for Lululemon and the W-2 has a Vancouver address and Canadian postal code of V6J-1C7. I chose Foreign Country for the state. When I go into the Mississippi state return it flags an error on the zip. It's copying only the numbers from the alphanumeric Canadian postal code and ending up with a zip code of 617. Can't figure out how to fix. Suspect it's some kind of error with the Mississippi state module.
Yes. Leave "foreign" in the state box and put any 5 digits in the zip code box to clear the error. This does not affect your tax calculations.
