Moved from Maryland to Texas - How Final Paycheck is Taxed

Hello,

I worked and lived in Maryland from 01/01/2024 to 04/28/2024. I moved from Maryland to Texas and started a new job on 04/29/2024. My final paycheck from my former job in Maryland issued after I moved to Texas. That paycheck included wages and vacation. Could I treat the paycheck as "Income received during period of nonresidence" on 502 Maryland tax form?

Thanks!

No, the income earned at the former job was all attributable to the work you performed while living in Maryland. It should be reported on your part-year Maryland tax return.

Here is some information about part-year returns you may find helpful: How do I file a part-year state return?
