Moved from OK to TN recently

Hi,

I am currently living in Tennessee after moving from Oklahoma at the end of 2024. How would I go about filing taxes? Would I need to file two? One per state?

I have not had the chance to get a new drivers license and license plate, so would I need to go through that first before figuring out filing taxes?

I am unfamiliar with this whole process so I am unsure where I need to start.

TN has no state income tax, so you have nothing to file for TN.

You will need to prepare a federal return and a return for OK.

You were not specific about when you moved and have not mentioned if you earned any 2024 income in TN.   If so, post back for information about allocating income earned in two states

Your license plate and driver's license are not relevant.

I moved in December and have not been working at all since my time living in Tennessee. When I start filing my tax returns, I will put in my current address correct? Not the address when I was still living in Oklahoma?

If I understood correctly, I will only fill out one tax return.

You enter the address where you are currently receiving your mail.  Only the OK state tax return has to be filed.  Tennessee does not have a personal income tax so there is not a TN state tax return to file.
