I have downloaded Intuit's 2016 Maryland taxes.  I can not fine a line/box that will allow me to enter my 2016 estimated Maryland tanes.  Consequently, my calculated 2016 taxes are extremely high.

You don't put them in the State section.....they are entered in the Federal section (they will transfer from there)

In the FEDERAL interview.

......You go to the Deductions & Credits page  ("I'll choose what I work on")

...slide down the menu to "Estimates & Other Taxes Paid"

...under that is a line called "Estimates"

..........go in there and the is a line "State estimated taxes for 2016" to start putting in your MD estimated tax payments....make sure you use the actual dates  you paid...do NOT used the default dates unless you actually paid on those dates.
