Question

My 2020 income was less than $60,000, I rented an apartment for 6 month. I am a resident of MI, and per Turbo Tax I don't qualify for homestead property tax credit. Why?

It appears you from your entries you would qualify.  Two items to look at.  First is your household income.  If you received certain non-taxable income that also counts toward your household income that may take you over the $60,000 income limit.  You would have selected the income sources as part of the MI interview for the credit.

Next, be sure you have entered at least 6 months for the rental time.  You can leave the days blank (or use more than 183 days).
