My Illinois state return is asking for an ABLE account number. I don't have one. How can I get passed this step?

You may need to enter any number to satisfy the software.  Then go back and delete the entire entry.

To remove the ABLE account information in TurboTax Onliine, follow these steps.

1. Click on State Taxes down the left side of the screen.  
2. Then click on Your State Returns.  Click Continue to the right of your Illinois tax return.
3. Click through the Illinois tax return to the screen Here's the income that Illinois handles differently.  
4. Click Edit to the right of Illinois ABLE account contributions.

Delete the entry by clicking the garbage can to the right of the entry.
