Question

My K-1 return is not flowing to PA state return. How do I get it to flow to my PA return? How do I enter a PA RK-1 in turbo tax premier?

Are you a Pennsylvania resident? K-1 income should automatically flow to the PA return. You can adjust the amount and/or enter PA RK-1 on the individual Schedule K-1 summaries in the Pennsylvania section.

  1. Go to the appropriate Schedule K-1 Summary (Partnerships or S-Corporations)
  2. Select EDIT next to the Name of the Entity
  3. If you are a PA resident, the Federal Amount will transfer to Form PA-40. If the PA Amount is different, enter the PA amount. Business income or loss will transfer to Net Income or Loss from the Operation of a Business, Profession or Farm. Interest, dividend and capital gains will transfer to those lines on PA-40.
  4. If you have a PA RK-1, check the box and enter the amounts on the screens for the appropriate section (partnership or S-Corporation).
