my north carolina state tax has been pending for 2 weeks, why so long

1) NC just started processing them this week...so it may take a few more days with their stockpile to get to yours.

2) If you actually were able to e-file a couple weeks ago, NC may automatically reject yours when they do get to it. There was a major NC update a few days ago that affected most everyone.

3) If they do reject it, you may need to go thru the Charitable Contribution Carryovers on the NC Income page to zero those out,... and confirm those values as zero's before re-e-filing.
