My spouse's name is missing in the state tax return

I have completed my tax return and I am planning on mailing them tomorrow. I was checking them this evening and realized that my spouse's name is missing in the state tax Form IT-203 (NY) (this is the first time we are filing married-jointly). Since I haven't filed (mailed) taxes yet, is there any way I can put her name there without doing an amended return?

Can I just write her name there with a pen?

Thanks so much!!

If this is the first year you are making the election to file a joint return with your non-resident spouse, yes, write your spouse's name on the New York return with a black ink pen and also attach a copy of Form W-7 with the state return.
