My state income tax that was withheld according to my W2, is the same amount that turbotax is telling me I owe to the state. any idea whats wrong or why?

i did the math based on my states income tax rate, and the correct amount was taken out, but TurboTax is telling me that I owe that amount.

Unless you made some other entry error, that would be an odd coincidence.

yea i figured it out lol, i entered a number somewhere it shouldnt be

Does the state withholding in box 17 show up on your state return? You should be getting credit for it. Did you pick the right state when you entered the W2? If you imported the W2 try deleting it and enter it again MANUALLY. That usually clears something out and fixes it.
