Question

My state of residence is Texas but currently stationed in Guam. Why can't I e-file?

Generally, you cannot e-file a return from a US Possession or territory including Guam. Since you are just stationed in Guam and not a residence of Guam, you will need to select that your state of residence is TX and that you are in the military. 

 

 You would need to use your home address and not your Guam address as the Guam address will block the IRS from accepting your return. 

 

If you have no mailing address in TX and only have the Guam address, you will need to print and mail your return.
