Question

My state return stays says "started" after I thought I filed it. What's does this mean?

Hard to know if you didn't actually file it...or whether it is just waiting for the IRS to respond first.

The state file doesn't get submitted until the IRS accepts...and that isn't likely to happen until the week after 29 Jan.

or...if the IRS rejects, then the state isn't submitted either.

Check your file say....7 Feb...or several days after you get your IRS acceptance
