Question

My State taxes is incorrect. It does not account for the fact that my wife and I were not full time residents of New Jersey last year. How can i fix this?

In the My Info section did you enter your resident state as of 12/31/2018? And then did you indicate that you lived in another state and select that state with the date you moved to your current resident state?

You should have completed two state tax returns as part year residents. In the state programs you are asked specifically if you lived in the state for the entire year, answering NO will have you enter the dates you lived in the state. Only the income, expenses, deductions and credits for that state should be entered while you were a resident of that state.
