My taxes dont have a state id number.

If you are entering a W-2 and your form's state ID number in Box 15 is blank, you can ask your employer to provide it. 

There are also some workarounds you can use when the number is not available. It may depend on your state. For example, California state employer IDs are eight digits long. You could try entering eight 9s in the field in Box 15 if you are in California and can't get the number. If the TurboTax program asks you for a state ID number in a specific format, such as needing exactly 9-digits and ending in XYZ, then enter a value that conforms to that format.
