Solved

My W2 is asking for a requested refund amount for VA, the state I work in, but I live in WV. No Va taxes were deducted from my paycheck so I'm confused. Help?

If you live in WV and work in VA, you should have taxes withheld for WV not VA as these two states have reciprocal agreements.  Meaning, if you work in the state you do not live in, you only pay taxes to the state you live in, not the state you work in.

So, I am not sure where you are seeing this asked on your W-2, but if you are in the state section, you can enter $0  or leave it blank.  Also double check your W-2 entries to be sure that when you entered taxes withheld that you selected they were withheld in WV and not VA. If you chose the wrong state, then TurboTax would be asking about a refund to be sure you got one.

If your only income from VA was your work income and no VA taxes were withheld on your W-2, then in the Personal Info section of TT enter WV as your state of residence and answer No to the question about having income from another state.  This will tell the program not to generate a VA tax return.  You don't need to file in VA due to tax reciprocity.
