My wife and I have filed jointly in GA for the past 15 years.  She moved her permanent residency to FL in October 2021.  Is is best to still file jointly with GA taxes, or can we file state taxes separately to benefit us?

Georgia does not allow you to file separately unless one of you if a full-year nonresident. It does allow you  to make an adjustment to calculate Georgia taxable income.

You can file separately next year if you wish.
