My wife has a retirement fund from the state of Georgia. We are Florida residents for over a year. Is this income exempt from Georgia taxation as we are FL residents?

Yes, you only report retirement income in the state where you are a resident, not the state where it originated. So since you don't pay income taxes in Florida, there is no state return involved.
