My wifes works for the Board of Education as a New York City Teacher. Her W2 from the City of New York does not have a State ID Number in box 15. Is this required?

Either use the federal ID or just enter 999999.

The New York City Board of Education State ID Number is; State School ID: />NY-310200010000-310200

The NYCity board of Education Federal ID# is : Federal Tax Identification Number: 332200010.

Hi,

I just wanted to say I also work for NYCDOE but that is not the federal EIN on my W2 so I hope no one copies it.

The state EIN is not on the W2 at all. I will have to use the federal EIN because the doe office is closed.

NYC has several EIN numbers. This number can be used in the abscense of your specific number.
