NC State Taxes

It's 4/10/22 and I still can't get my NC state return to e-file. It keeps giving a message about a dropped connection. I spent hours on the phone with tech support (Turbo Tax) to no avail. I requested a refund of the $39 I spent to e-file and got denied. Is anyone else having these issues? I don't want to start over with another tax filer because I would have to redo my federal tax forms to just file my state forms. I have already completed my federal taxes and received my refund.

You can always print and mail your state tax return.

 

  1. Tap Tax Tools in the left column
  2. Select Print Center
  3. Select 2021 North Carolina and leave Federal return unchecked

Send your return by certified mail with proof of delivery so you have a record that NC received your return.
