Need 20 character ID from fed return to file state return, where is this number?

If your name is more characters than the space will allow, make the name shorter, from the end, at the right.  The tax authority will be matching the first characters against the social security number.

The information flows from the federal into the state forms so the correction has to take place in the federal form. There is something coming from the Personal Info tab or sometimes a W-2, on the federal that is not going correctly to the state form.
