If you received this error message, make sure that you are entering the whole dollar amount only? For example, $223.45 would be entered as 2 2 3. Also, please make sure you are entering your New York State refund amount and not your Federal refund amount.

Believe me I am entering the right amount I’ve been doing my own taxes for four years

This is the refund that you received on your New York return for 2020.  If it was rejected and never filed then you should enter zero.  If it was accepted then you should check with the state of New York to make sure they didn't adjust your refund after you filed.  (You can also check your bank statements to see exactly how much was deposited.)
