New York State Income Factor

Married filing jointly.  Lived mostly in MA then moved to NY so filing a part-year resident form.  All of our W-2 income was from MA and ~50% of self-employment income was from MA.  Total about 92% income from MA and 8%. from NY  My expectation is that the NY state income factor should therefore be round about 0.08, however it is actually about 12.  It seems impossible for it to be above 1, but I think I have entered everything correctly (checked many times).  Can anyone advise on how to resolve this issue?

When you look at the alloc wks - the allocation worksheet - are the numbers on the worksheet what you expect? ? The IT 203 line 45 should show your NY income and federal  for the correct percentage.

Where do you see the 12? Is that possibly your tax liability on line 46?
