New York State stuck in loop - oops, look we've hit a snag

I worked from home at a NYS-based job (retired halfway thru 2024). PA resident all year. Same resident/work locations for a few years. This is first year since not filing paper return I've had dividends and capital gains to report. All my wage income is New York source. None of the dividends/interest/capital gains are.

Using Desktop on a Mac. Previously used online. When I start the New York return, I get stuck in a loop. Oops, hit a snag. No indication of what the snag is. There's a question early in the New York part - Allocated Income Based on Business. But I don't have a business. I'm putting a zero in the New York Source portion column, next to the federal column, under New York Income Allocation.

Seems I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.

Called support - person there advised me to click on "Check for Updates" under the TurboTax heading. After doing the update, I was able to get past the point where I had been stuck.
