NJ Nonresident Taxes

I live in NY and work in NJ and receive a W2. My spouse only works in NY. After completing the NJ Nonresident tax form I noticed that her W2 is included in the NJ total tax calculation even though she doesn't work in NJ. I removed my duplicate wages when prompted but hers remains. Is this correct or do I also check the remove wages box for her income as my W2 should be the one being taxed not hers.

No, your spouse's wages should not be listed as duplicate wages on that page.  The next page asks if you earned all the wages in NJ.  That page will include all W2 wages including your spouse's earned in NY.  You should answer, "No, I earned some wages in another state."  Put only the NJ wages in the box.

NJ uses all income as part of a ratio to calculate the tax on only the NJ source income.  The other part of the ratio is the NJ only income that you allocate to NJ.
