I live in michigan I own an S corp that receives rent in VA . In turbotax I am being asked if IMADE MONEY IN VA? Did I?

Yes, if you had positive rental income in the Commonwealth of Virginia you will want to answer this yes and may need to file a Virginia tax return.  If the income is below the Virginia threshold, you will not need to file. For 2019 the filing threshold for Virginia is $11,950 for a single filer and $23,900 for married taxpayers filing jointly.

 

Note that if your income is less than this amount, a return is not required but you may still file one if you wish to have the income (or loss) that you did have recorded officially.
