Non-Resident taxes for California

I am a New York State resident who received a W-2 form from California.  All the work was performed in my home residence of New York.  Do I have to pay California state taxes?  What do I have to file?

Thanks.

@dennislmyers1819 if that W-2 had CA taxes withheld, you should file a CA non-resident tax return to get the withholdings back.  If that W-2 did NOT have CA taxes withheld, there is no need to file a CA tax return.

No. You do not need to pay California state taxes if you didn't live there.
