NY State balance due for Unemployment Compensation files by turbotax

shouldn't' turbo tax be computing all of this ?

New York State is asking for extra taxes for unemployment for 2020 now when I would think Turbotax would have calculated whatever i am owed ?

They are saying that the number that the State Dept of Labor reported is different than what I reported.

It sounds like you received a notice from the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance.

It appears that there is a discrepancy between the information reported on your tax return and what is reported on your 2020 1099-G. Check to see if the correct NYS withholding tax in box 11 of Form 1099-G was reported correctly on your 2020 state return.
