First time living fully outside of NYC.  I accidentally filled out NYC-1127 with my state tax return this year on TurboTax. I realized after that I do not owe this tax b.c I am a non-resident and I don't work for a NYC government agency, but still work in NYC for a public company.   Can I leave my NY state tax return as is, or must it be amended to remove this form?  I have not mailed anything to the Dept. of Finance in NYC.

Leave your New York State tax return as-is. If you e-filed your New York State tax return, the NYC-1127 was not transmitted with the e-file, so they will not see that you filled it out. It's just sitting in TurboTax. Nothing will happen with it.
