When you go through your state interview questions for New York, you will see a section about whether or not you received STAR savings. This is where your property tax credit relief information would be applied.

My check is dated 12/31/19 for the 2019 Property Tax Relief. I did not receive it until at least Jan 1st of 2020. So, do I enter this now on the 2019 Tax return OR do I have to wait until I do the 2020 tax return form next year? Today is 3/25/20. Thanks!
