NYS Tax Partial Payment

I requested to make a partial payment when I filed on 1/30/2025 and they payment still has not hit my account or been applied to my NYS tax liability. I want to set up a payment plan for the remaining amount but was hoping the payment I made would be reflected first. How long does this usually take?

If you made a partial payment and did not select a date for the payment to be paid, then it may revert to April 15th. TurboTax does not process the payments, the information is just transferred to the state for them to process.

You can contact the New York State Department of Taxation to find out when they will process your payment and to set up the payment plan.
