How do I edit the correct payment so I do not have a penalty. The amount is calculating incorrectly and this would make an underpayment of $50 and this same amount happened last year as well.

It depends on how you paid your school district taxes.

If you have withholding on your W-2, you have to make sure it flows to your SD-100. Please follow the instructions below:

    1. Open or continue your return.
    2. Go to W-2 and click on the pencil icon to edit.
    3. Under the Local taxes section (Boxes 18-20), please ensure that your school district number is in Box 20
    4. Click Continue.

If you made any additional SD-100 payments, they have to be entered on a different screen. To do so, please follow the instructions below:

    1. Open your return.
    2. Click on Federal on the left hand side of your screen.
    3. Click on Deductions & Credits.
    4. Click on Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
    5. Click Start next to Income Taxes Paid.
    6. Scroll down to Other Income Taxes Paid in 2024.
    7. Click Start next to Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099.
    8. Select School District Tax, OH and enter the amount.
    9. Click Continue.
