Ohio School Tax SD 100
School Tax onSD100 is not being picked up properly from the W2 information entered. Program does not allow manual entry. Has this been fixed for 2024. I will not use the State module if it has not
TurboTax (TT) does not automatically prepare a School District return (form SD 100), even if there is SD withholding on your W-2 (boxes 18-20). You must initiate a School District tax return.
At the screen, in the Ohio program, titled "A few things before we wrap up your state taxes"
scroll down to School District taxes.
Or later at the screen "Your 2023 Ohio Taxes are ready for us to check"
-Click Other situations
-Scroll down to School District taxes.
Be sure the school district name/number, in box 20 of your W-2, is in the format #### or SD#### (e.g 1234 or SD1234).
Usually the School District Income Tax (SDIT) return is e-filed with the state return, but there are exceptions. Read the Ohio 'filing instructions" that TurboTax prepares, They will tell you if the SD 100 was e-filed or if you have to mail it.
